Sustainability
Carrying out a pre-demolition audit shows a pro-active commitment to sustainable construction. The audit assessment informs the client, designers and contractor about valuable construction materials and key products that possess the potential for reuse whether that be directly on site, through another location or repurposing.
As part of our commitment to sustainable sourcing, materials are tracked from point of origin to installation on site. The procurement of materials is encouraged through ethical and sustainable sources with evidence recorded against these credentials. Timber across all TTP sites is FSC assured and certified and we strive for all products to be part of a registered environmental scheme.
In order to inform the overall performance of a building the energy consumption at construction phase should be considered. We implement a systematic approach to monitoring carried out through permanent or temporary installations in order to provide valuable data. The data can be used as part of energy modelling, for inclusion against recognised sustainability schemes credits as well as in-house benchmarking.
Construction is one of the largest producers of waste in the world, as a business we are committed to lowering our waste production as far as possible. We have a strong commitment to divert a minimum 95% waste from landfill. Implementing effective waste reduction through responsible practices are implemented from tender through to post construction stages.
We are proud to be accredited with the ISO 14001 standard. ISO 14001 is the internationally recognised standard for the environmental management of businesses, prescribing controls to implementing a standardised and audited system for those activities that have an effect on the environment.
