Our Projects
We supported our client Derwent London with a category A+ fit out at their commercial offices in Rathbone Place. This option provided a more comprehensive set of design options at the premises, while still offering flexibility for those occupying the building to make it their own in terms of workspace layout and interior design. This particular project saw our team help design and install some of the essential facilities and features on the ground, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Floors & Roof including the reception, and communal area such as WCs and showers.
As the building was already occupied, the team took great care to minimise any potential disruption to those within the building. One of the initial tasks was stripping the existing finishes so that the new finishes could be implemented throughout. This included bespoke joinery, allowing a refreshed and updated feel to the building without any major overhauls to its structure. Another key aspect of the fit out was the installation of glazed partitions, which are a great way to provide a sense of privacy while still maintaining a communal feel within a workspace. Alongside the design elements, our team provided support with minor structural works such as a new brickwork extension to the rear fire escape. This included a bespoke spiral staircase, which added a unique design element to the building, while still ensuring adherence to health and safety requirements.
This project commenced and reached completion all within the height of the COVID 19 pandemic so securing adequate labour and materials as needed was a big challenge.
We were acutely aware of the potential for issues to arise due to COVID 19, and took proactive measures to address these before they could affect the project. We engaged with the key packages in our supply chain exceptionally early to ensure labour and products were secured in a timely manner. This also allowed more detailed questions to be raised at an earlier stage. We also held weekly supply chain director-level site reviews as the works progressed. This ensured that labour levels were constantly monitored along with ensuring exceptional workmanship and quality control.
