In August 2016 our team was contracted to support with a Category A Commerical Office Refurbishment, ensuring the space was fit for purpose and ready for the occupiers to move into and decorate as they desired. Works were completed on the ground, 4th, 5th, 6th floors and the roof of the property, meaning a large scale update was required. Updates included structural changes, including opening up the rear of the building to add a new entrance. Alongside this our team helped to create and install a new reception area. New services and facilities were installed throughout, and we helped install new WCs. We carried out a full strip out which involved essential updates such as asbestos removal, and also helped the client expand into their outside space, which included a brand new roof extension long with a new roof terrace.
The works were completed in an occupied building. The Ground, 1st, 2nd 3rd and a section of the 6th floor remained live throughout the works. Ensuring work was carried out with minimal disruption to occupants was our top priority and biggest challenge.
The works were carefully phased. We worked with the Client Team to ensure the works could be completed to fit the programme period whilst ensuring the least amount of disruption possible to the building occupants.
